Lateral Rhombic Lip Progenitor Cells (Rhmbn)

Lateral rhombic lip progenitor cells reside between rhombomeres 1-8 (R1-8) and serve as an intermediate population that contributes cells to the hindbrain choroid plexus population (E10-14). The first wave of contribution to the choroid plexus cells emanates from R2-8 (~E11.5) and the second arises from R1 cells (>E12.5). The choroid plexus cells arising by this population are considered post-mitotic cells.
