Duct progenitor cells are the committed precursor cells of pancreatic duct cells that form duct and centroacinar cells following differentiation.


These cells are Neurog3-negative, which is a state permissive for ductal differentiation. Additionally, they express Hes1 and Sox9, indicative of ductal lineage commitment.
