Male; The expression pattern of SRY and its protein product differs between the mouse and human. In XY mouse embryos, Sry is transiently expressed in the bi-potential gonad (from E10.5 to E12.5), whereas in human embryos, SRY expression is periodic (starts at E41, peaks shortly after, and then remains present at low levels beyond embryogenesis).
