Double Positive Thymocytes (Thm)

Double positive T express both CD4 and CD8. These cells begin proliferating, but stop following a few proliferation cycles, become small and begin rearrangement of the alpha chain of the T cell receptor. Most of these cells will die after failing positive selection. Surviving cells will mature to single positive T cells.
