Autologus endothelial progenitor cells for the treatment of critical limb ischemia

This study aims to examine whether injection of peripheral blood CD133+ (endothelial progenitor cells) will improve blood flow in the most severely affected leg of critical ischemic limb patients. Stem cell injection prevented leg amputation in seven of the nine patients.
