AMI MultiStem®, bone marrow-derived cells for acute myocardial infarction

MultiStem® are adult bone marrow-derived cells used for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and congestive heart failure. A Phase I study assessing the efficacy and safety of MultiStem® in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction demonstrated that it was well tolerated at all tested dose levels and led to improved heart function in treated patients, as measured by the mean left ventricular ejection fraction.
