ERCs, endometrial regenerative cells for congestive heart failure

Endometrial regenerative cells (ERCs) are a population of mesenchymal-like stem cells derived from menstrual blood, which demonstrate pluripotent differentiation activity and the ability to induce neoangiogenesis. ERCs are used for treatment of congestive heart failure. No adverse events were reported upon clinical trials.

RECOVER-ERC trial is conducted at the Bakoulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of Russian Academy of Medical Science.
