Bone marrow-derived lineage-negative cells for chronic renal failure

The aim of this study was to to determine whether selective injection of lineage-negative bone marrow cells can slow the progression of chronic renal failure in rats subjected to five-sixth nephrectomy. Intravenous injection of bone marrow-derived lineage-negative cells decreased proteinuria and glomerulosclerosis.
