Mesenchymal stromal cells for chronic renal failure

The aim of this study was to investigate the potential of mesenchymal stem cell therapy to ameliorate fibrosis in a model of severe renal ablation. Mesenchymal stem cells injected to the tail vein of nephrectomized rats ameliorated renal dysfunction and induced a reduction in glomerulosclerosis and interstitial fibrosis.
