JACE®, cultured epidermis for skin replacement

JACE® is comprised of autologous cultured epidermis produced by culturing isolated keratinocytes derived from the skin of patients. Sheets of epidermis are produced for the treatment of scars, vitiligo, nevi (birthmarks), ulcers, skin-graft donor sites, severe burns and other disorders. In patients with skin injuries, epithelial cells began to form colonies within 3 days of implantation. The cultured allografts were not detectable 1 month after implantation and were integrated to the skin, demonstrating that regeneration was induced.
