Premature Ovarian Failure
 - Cell Therapy Approaches

Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) is a typically idiopathic clinical condition characterized by the premature depletion of ovarian follicles, before the age of 40. Most women with POF are infertile and experience unexpected, early-onset menopausal symptoms.

Cell Therapy Approaches

Cell therapy utilizing adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells was shown to induce angiogenesis and restore the number of ovarian follicles and corpus lutea.

Human amniotic fluid cells (hAFCs) are an additional attractive cell source for follicle restoration in POF, due to their ability to differentiate into germ cells and oocyte-like cells.
