Adipose-derived stem and regenerative cells (Cytori)

Adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) isolated by Celution system comprise a heterogeneous cell populations including:
1. adipose-derived stem cells (ASC) (CD31- CD34+ CD45- CD90+ CD105- CD146-)
2. endothelial (progenitor) cells (CD31+ CD34+ CD45- CD90+ CD105- CD146+)
3. vascular smooth muscle cells (CD31- CD34+ CD45- CD90+ CD105- CD146+)

ADRCs are able to differentiate into adipogenic and osteogenic phenotypes. Results show that cells isolated with the CelutionTM or manually are equivalent.

Adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) are isolated using the Celution® system. Lipoaspirate is added to the Celution system where, with the addition of a proteolytic enzyme reagent (Celase), the ADRCs are released from their bound matrix, washed to remove residual enzyme, and then concentrated within the closed automated system in the operating room. Characterization studies of the ADRCs isolated by Celution system showed that cells from the CelutionTM are composed of heterogeneous cell populations including: adipose-derived stem cells (ASC) (CD31- CD34+ CD45- CD90+ CD105- CD146-), endothelial (progenitor) cells (CD31+ CD34+ CD45- CD90+ CD105- CD146+), vascular smooth muscle cells (CD31- CD34+ CD45- CD90+ CD105- CD146+). ADRCs are able to differentiate into adipogenic and osteogenic phenotypes. Results show that cells isolated with the CelutionTM and manually are equivalent.
