C2a (Medical College of Wisconsin)

This induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line was generated from human primary foreskin fibroblasts, by infection with concentrated replication-incompetent pseudotyped lentiviruses that contained OCT4, SOX2, NANOG or LIN28 genes. Cells have a normal karyotype and are positive for pluripotency markers and alkaline phosphatase activity.

Cells are cultured in stem cell medium (DMEM/F12 medium supplemented with knockout serum replacement (20% ), non essential amino acids, glutamine, penicillin/streptomycin and bFGF (4ng/ml)) on mitotically inactivated mouse embryonic fibroblasts.
