CHB-8 (Children's Hospital Corporation,Boston)

This cell line was derived from 242 day-5, poor-quality embryos that were plated onto MEFs. Only 39 of the 242 developed outgrowths and were used for derivation of 10 hESC lines. This cell line has a normal 46,XX karyotype.

Mechanically pass and culture in hES cell maintenance medium: DMEM/F12, KSR (20%), bFGF (4ng/ml), beta-mercaptoethanol (100uM), non-essential amino acids (100 mM), L-glutamine (1 mM), and penicillin/streptomycin.
