DF6-9-9T (WiCell Research Institute, Inc.)

This induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) line was generated from human foreskin fibroblasts by transfection of episomal vectors containing OCT4, SOX2, NANOG, LIN28, c-MYC, KLF4, and SV40LT.

This iPS cell clone does not contain any residues from the oriP/EBNA1 episomal vectors used for its derivation.

Cells are morphologically similar to human embryonic stem (ES) cells, have normal karyotypes,  express ES cell markers and differentiate into derivatives of all three germlayers, in teratomas.

Cells were cultured on irradiated mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEF) in DMEM/F12 culture medium supplemented with KnockOut serum replacer (20%), non-essential amino acids (0.1 mM), L-glutamine (1 mM), ß-mercaptoethanol (0.1 mM) and 100 ng/ml zebrafish basic fibroblast growth factor. Alternatively, cells can be cultured under feeder-free conditions on matrigel-coated plates in MEF-conditioned medium or in TeSR1-defined medium.
