Induced pluripotent stem cell line 1 (University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine)

Human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) generated by retroviral infection with SOX2, OCT3/4, and KLF4 genes into human primary fibroblasts that were derived from normal skin.

Cells are cultured on mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF) feeder layers in DMEM/F12 (1:1) supplemented with knockout serum replacement (20%), non-essential amino acids (100mM), L-glutamine (2mM), b-mercaptoethanol (0.1mM), penicillin (100unit/ml), streptomycin (100mg/ml) and bFGF (10–15 ng/ml).
