L1C51 (Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine)

The L1C51 induced pluripotent stem cell line was derived from corneal limbal epithelial cells by lentiviral transduction of OCT3/4, SOX2, C-MYC, and KLF4. Cells express pluripotency markers and have a normal karyotype, 46,XX.

Cells were seeded on MMC-treated mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF) feeder cells and cultured in embryonic stem cell culture medium comprised of DMEM/F12,  supplemented with knockout serum replacement (20%), β-mercaptoethanol (0.1 mM), non-essential amino acid (0.1 mM), and bFGF (4 ng/ml).
