Cells are cultured in medium consisting of knockout-DMEM supplemented with knockout serum replacement (20%), GlutaMax (2 mM),  MEM Eagle Non-Essential Amino acid solution (1%),  penicillin/streptomycin (0.5%),  ß-mercaptoethanol (0.1 mM), and  basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF; 8 ng/ml).
