VAL-9 (European Human Embryonic Stem Cell Registry)

Cells were derived from late morula-stage human embryos. Cells form teratomas and differentiate into cells of the three germ layers, in-vivo. Cells have a normal karyotype, 46 XY.

Cells are cultured on irradiated human foreskin fibroblasts in knockout Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM, 80%), knockout SR (20% ), glutamine (1 mM), β-mercaptoethanol (0.1 mM), non-essential amino acids stock (1%), and bFGF (6 ng/ml).
