Ttr::RFP genetically modified stem cells (University of California Irvine)

The TTR::RFP hemizygous cell line was derived from TTR::RFP X CAG::H2B-GFP blastocysts, by the University of California Irvine (UCI) transgenic mouse facility using the 2i method. Cells express stem cell markers and have a normal number of chromosomes.

Cells are cultured on mitomycin-inactivated mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEF) in 0.1% gelatin-coated plates in Low Osmo DMEM supplemented with FBS (15%), serum replacement (5%), L-glutamine (2 mM), leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF, 1000 U/mL), β-mercaptoethanol (0.1 mM), and penicillin-streptomycin.
