Human spinal cord stem cells (NSI-566) are derived from the spinal cord of a single 8-week-old fetus and expanded serially by epigenetic means only.
NSI-566 are expanded as an adherent, monolayer culture under serum-free, animal-derived component-free, feeder cell-free conditions in the presence of basic fibroblast growth factor. Treatment cells are thawed in a hibernation medium free of preservatives and antibiotics.
