Tenocytes (Orthocell)

Tenocytes from the healthy tendon of patients with an injured tendon are isolated and propagated for implantation.

A 3 × 1–mm strip of tendon is harvested from the superficial surface of the patellar tendon and placed in a transport medium (DMEM F12 with 20% fetal bovine serum).
