Derivation of cardiomyocytes from pluripotent stem cells and sorting for VCAM1 surface marker

The 201B6 iPS cell line is differentiated into cardiac lineage using a direct protocol. The resulting cardiomyocytes are then purified based on VCAM1 expression. VCAM1-positive cells are then replated and tested for cardiogenic markers.
