Induction of cardiac differentiation of human embryonic stem cells by heart matrix and collagen

Embryoid bodies derived from HES-2 human embryonic stem cells can be differentiated in the presence of cardiac extracellular matrix (ECM) without additional growth factors. The presence of cardiac ECM is sufficient to form cardiac differentiation.
