Generation of motor neurons from human pluripotent stem cells by genetic modification
This protocol describes a method to generate motor neuron cells from human pluripotent stem cells by viral transduction of neural rosette cells with Ngn2-Il1-Lhx3 (N.I.L) gene codes. This technique enables the generation of motor neuron-like cells within 21 days, while other protocols require 60 days. The induced motor neurons express specific gene markers, and form synapses with skeletal myotubes in co-cultures.
