Generation of myogenic progenitor cells from human pluripotent cells by PAX7 expression

This protocol describes a method for generation of myogenic progenitor cells from human pluripotent cells. Stem  cells are initially infected with a doxycycline-induced  GFP-PAX7 construct. Cells then differentiate into myogenic progenitor cells upon conditional PAX7 expression. These myogenic progenitor cells were transplanted into both cardiotoxin-injured and  NSG-mdx mice, and underwent differentiation into dystrophin-positive cells.
