The Barcode database provides gene expression information about 9652 mouse samples from 89 different normal and cancerous cells/tissues obtained pre- or postnatally. Only the normal samples are linked to LifeMap entities. All samples were hybridized to the Affymetrix mouse 430 2.0 (GPL1261) microarray platform.
Barcode uses an algorithm that leverages information from the GEO public repository to build a list of tissue-specific genes. In LifeMap database only genes appearing in more than 3 different tissues are listed. For more information, please refer to the Barcode website.
