Hair.SG
The sebaceous gland (SG) is a terminally differentiated structure, located in the outer root sheath (ORS) above the bulge, formed during late embryogenesis and early post-natal life. The sebaceous gland is comprised of the sebocytes that produce and secrete to the skin surface a lipid-rich fluid called sebum, responsible for protection of skin and hair from dehydration.
