NT.MRP
The mesencephalic roof plate lies in the dorsal midline of the mesencephalon and serves as a signaling center responsible for patterning of the adjacent regions. This region, together with the mesencephalic alar plate, gives rise to the tectum, which contains the superior and inferior colliculus.
