Axial Tendon Primordia

Tnd.AxTP

The tendon primordia is generated at future sites of tendon formation by aggregation of early tenocyte cells. Formation of the tendon primordia is an essential step in tendon morphogenesis and in the development of the entire musculoskeletal system, as it positions future tendon at the proper anatomical location between the bone and the muscle it will later connect.
