Cultivated limbal stem cells for the treatment of limbal stem cell deficiency

The aim of this study is to determine whether cultivated limbal stem cell transplantation is effective in treating patients with corneal/limbal stem cell deficiency. In cases of unilateral disease, a limbal biopsy is taken from the contralateral healthy eye . In cases of bilateral disease, a limbal biopsy is taken from a living related or cadaveric donor.
