Hematopoietic stem cells for type I diabetes mellitus

This study aims to evaluate whether autologous nonmyeloablative hematopoietic stem cell transplantation can induce prolonged and significant increases in c-peptide levels, associated with absence of or reduction of daily insulin injections in type I diabetes patients.
