Fetal Gonadal Stromal Cell (University of California Los Angeles)

These stromal cells are a supporting cell layer of inactivated human fetal gonads established from gonadal ridges of a 10-week-old human fetus.

Cells are plated on tissue culture plates coated with gelatin and cultured in DMEM supplemented with FBS (15%), nonessential amino acids (0.1mM), b-mercaptoethanol (0.1 mM), L-glutamine (2 mM), and sodium pyruvate (1mM). Cells are inactivated using mitomycin-C.
