Proximal Renal Vesicle Cells (RV)

Kid.RV.PRVCs

The pretubular aggregate enlarges and begins to differentiate into the renal vesicle (RV); an immature epithelial nephron structure with a central lumen and partial basement membrane, the first recognised structural nephron stage. Molecular patterning divides the renal vesicle into proximal and distal regions. Late-stage, more developed renal vesicles fuse with the adjacent ureteric tip via a connecting segment.
