Structure and Function of the Lymph:

The lymphatic endothelium is composed of a single layer of endothelial cells that lines the lymph vessels and is more permeable than the vascular endothelium. Its main functions are to remove plasma proteins that have filtered through the capillaries into the tissue spaces, transport immune cells, and take up dietary fat.
