Diencephalic Ventricular Zone

NT.DVZ
The diencephalic ventricular zone is the part of the ventricular zone that lies within the diencephalon and is made up of a cell layer that forms the ventricular walls, adjacent to the future third ventricle. This layer is populated with highly proliferative neural progenitor cells, which migrate towards more distal parts of the neural tube while adopting specific cell fate.
