Dorsal Telencephalon

NT.DrT
The dorsal telencephalon (pallium) is subdivided into 3 longitudinal zones: dorsal, medial, and lateral. The dorsal pallium gives rise to the neocortex. The medial pallium develops into the hippocampus, cortical hem and choroid plexus. The lateral pallium matures into the olfactory bulb, some limbic areas and parts of the amygdala.
