NT.MFP.EFPCs
Neuronal stem cells located at the mesencephalon floor plate are first patterned to a ventral cell fate and away from a dorsal fate by a combination of SHH and FGF8 gradient. Some of these cell will differentiate into dopaminergic precursor cells, and the others will retain a general ventral neuronal characteristics and serve as organizer cells to the developing dopaminergic lineage.
