Motor Neural Progenitor Domain

NT.pMN
The motor neuron progenitor domain is a defined area within the ventral (basal) columns, from which motor neurons and oligodendrocytes differentiate. The domain first produces motor neurons (MNs) and then switches to generate oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs).

Olig2 is specifically expressed in the pMN domain, and constitutes a molecular marker of the pMN domain.
