Tail of Pancreas

Pnc.TOP

The pancreatic body and tail are located behind the lesser sac and the stomach. The border between the body and tail is not clearly defined but can be determined using one-half of the distance between the neck and the end of the pancreas. The tail portion of the pancreas develops from the dorsal pancreatic bud.
