Sclerotome Cells (SMscScl)

Smt.SMscScl.SclCs

Sacral sclerotome cells are mesenchymal cells located at the ventromedial somite and are derived from epithelial somite cells by epithelial-mesemchymal transition due to signaling from notochord and floor plate. These cells give rise to the sacral area bone and cartilage cells.
