Thoracic Dermatome

The thoracic dermatome contains dermal progenitor cells and is formed by delamination of the ventral part of the thoracic dermomyotome and by specification of this region to the dermal fate. The thoracic somitic dermatome gives rise to the dermis of the scapula region of the back.
