Cementoblasts (Cmt)

Cementoblasts arise form dental follicle cells. Their main function is to produce cementum, an organic matrix that mineralizes under the influence of oral fluids, and forms the hard cover of the tooth. Cementoblasts produce collagen, osteocalcin and sialoproteins.
