Polar Trophectoderm Cells (PoT)

Trp.PoT.PoTCs
Polar trophectoderm cells are an epithelial cell type, located in the part of the trophectoderm nearest to the inner cell mass, which differentiate into the extra-embryonic ectoderm and, in the mouse, also give rise to the ectoplacental cone. In contrast to mouse embryos, in human development, the initial implantation contact occurs through the polar trophectoderm.
