Fibroblast-reprogrammed hepatocytes were intrasplenically injected into the livers of Tyrosinemia type 1 animal models. When analyzed 1 month post-transplantation, the transplanted hepatocytes were shown to engraft and successfully reconstitute the recipient's hepatic tissue.
