Hepatocyte transplantation for treatment of liver disorders

These studies aim to assess whether liver cell transplantation can serve as an effective alternative to organ transplantation in patients with life-threatening, liver-based metabolic diseases or liver failure, who are unlikely to survive without extensive medical therapy or transplantation.
