Outer Root Sheath Progenitor Cells (EE)

Outer root sheath progenitor cells develop as a continuation of the basal layer of the epidermis and are characterized by expression of the Gata3 and Sox9 transcription factors. These two factors are essential for the further development of outer root sheath cells.
