Pancreatic Endothelial Cells (PDFE)

GtT.PDFE.PnECs
Pancreatic endothelial cells arise from angioblasts which migrate to the foregut endoderm and populate the emerging endodermal structures of the pancreatic buds. They eventually form the blood-vessels of the mature pancreas. Extensive mutual signaling between the endothelial cells and the pancreatic epithelium and mesenchyme participate in the regulation of pancreatic development.

Exact developmental origin of pancreatic endothelium is as yet unknown.
