Bundle of His


Hrt.BoH
The bundle of His, formed of a group of heart muscle cells, transmits the electrical impulses generated at paced intervals by the atrioventricular node (AVN), to the right and left ventricles. The signal is conducted via specialized channels, which branch from the bundle of His, and contact Purkinje fibers, which, in turn, signal the ventricles. As a result, the cardiac muscle of the ventricles contract.
